Truck Bed – Regular Cab & Cummins

1997–2002 Dodge Ram 1500 / 2500 6.5-Foot Bed – Southern Replacement Box

This 6.5-foot southern-sourced truck bed is available for 1997–2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 pickups, including regular-cab configurations and Cummins diesel applications. It is a solid candidate for replacing a rusted, damaged, or heavily worn original box on an older Dodge Ram.

The bed has several cosmetic imperfections, including a few dings, scratches, and a scrape along the side. The inside of one bed pocket has also seen some wear or damage, although this area is largely concealed when viewing the truck bed normally. Despite these imperfections, the bed is described as a good, usable box with plenty of life remaining.

Condition Details

This is a perfect show-quality box, it is a solid replacement bed with plenty of usable life left. The exterior has a handful of dings and scratches, along with a scrape running down the side. The inside of the bed pocket has been beaten up, but the damage is positioned down inside the pocket and is not immediately noticeable from a normal standing view.

For someone restoring an older Dodge Ram, repairing a work truck, or simply needing a functional replacement box, this bed provides a practical alternative to trying to save a severely rusted or damaged original.
